Bahrain Chapter

The Institution of Engineers (India) was established in 1920 and the Royal charter (UK) was granted to It in 1935. It's headquarter is located at Kolkata, India.

The Institution of Engineers (India)- Bahrain chapter is engaged in professional activities once 1988 in Bahrain with the objective of providing opportunities for professional development and thereby enhance professional competence of engineers in Bahrain. The Chapter is having MoU with the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) since 1996. The Bahrain Chapter have about 400 members from various disciplines of engineering.



The chapter organizes following activities on regular basis:-

  • Technical seminars and workshops by experts in various fields for sharing of knowledge and experience.
  • Industrial visits to familiarize members with the latest trends in the manufacturing processes.
  • conducting bi-annual AMIE Examination in association with the Embassy of India in Bahrain for benefit of diploma holder to upgrade professional qualification, while staying in Bahrain.
  • Occasional publication of newsletters and souvenirs to develop skills in writing, sharing of experience and technology update.
  • Organize annual event of Science, Engineering and Technology working model exhibition by school students.
  • Social get-together to promote interaction among members and their families.
